Malai Paneer Korma Recipe: A Royal Mughlai-Style Curry You’ll Love

Bored of eating Malai Kofta? Well, here’s an amazing dish to your rescue. Malai Paneer Korma is freshly made from milk and curd with paneer or cottage cheese cubes. The highlight of this dish is the cashew paste which adds extra creaminess to the Malai Paneer Korma. Unlike Methi Malai Paneer, this doesn’t have any greens in it. Just, in the end, you can garnish the dish with peas and mint powder. Mint usually adds an aromatic flavor and makes the dish more flavorsome. Malai Paneer Korma can be served with rice or any Indian bread. It provides a good source of protein and tastes exceptional. Step 1 Prepare the masala

In a pan, add oil and once the oil is hot add onions, green chillies, garlic, ginger, black cardamom, green cardamom, and black peppercorns. Cook them on a medium flame till the onions get mushy.

Step 2 Blend the onions with yoghurt

Let the onions cool for a while. Next, take a grinder, add onion mixture along with yoghurt and blend nicely to get a smooth paste.

Step 3 Mix cashew and onion paste

Heat ghee in a pan and then add the onion-yogurt paste. After that, add cashew paste and mix to combine well. Add a pinch of salt, mix it and cover the lid. Let it cook for 8-10 mins.

Step 4 Pour in milk to mixture

Once done, pour in some water and then add milk. Mix everything well. Lastly, add nutmeg powder and chopped paneer cubes. Stir it well. You can also add cardamom powder if you want. Cook for 8-10 mins.

Step 5 Your Malai Paneer Korma is ready to serve

Your Malai Paneer Korma is ready to serve. Garnish it with some mint powder and a mint leaf. You can also add boiled peas if you want. Enjoy the meal.
